Perennial Autonomy, a drone company founded and funded by former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, has secured a dominant victory in the 'Deep Strike' category of the Department of War's Gauntlet II competition. The company outperformed its rivals by a significant 9.2-point margin. The competition, which focuses on identifying effective, low-cost, one-way attack drones for mass production, saw several prominent Ukrainian drone manufacturers fail to reach the top five. This result marks a notable shift from the previous Gauntlet I trials, where Ukrainian firms were more successful.
