Nikon unveils Z5IIC camera, aimed at making photography less intimidating

Nikon has announced the Z5IIC, a new full-frame mirrorless camera designed to bridge the gap between beginner-friendly point-and-shoot performance and professional-grade manual control. Built on the same Expeed 7 engine as the Z5II, the Z5IIC introduces several features aimed at simplifying the creative process. Key additions include a dedicated 'scene mode' with 15 preset configurations for various subjects, a film grain effect for a retro aesthetic, and a unique fish detection autofocus mode. Weighing 620g, the camera features a 3.2-inch articulating screen and is positioned as a portable, high-quality alternative to smartphone photography for content creators. The device supports 4K video at 60fps and can function as a high-end webcam. Priced at $1,449, the Nikon Z5IIC is available for pre-order, with shipping scheduled to commence on October 15.
