How a microservices approach helped design an educational platform for Avito Ads

Ekaterina Yudina from the Avito Ads team shared their experience in developing a new educational platform for advertising account users. Given the constant changes in the product's interface and functionality, the team decided to move away from creating a static course in favor of a modular architecture, similar to approaches used in IT development. The learning system was built on an LMS base but supplemented with independent, interconnected modules, including basic and advanced courses, interactive simulators, and update centers. This approach allows for the rapid adaptation of educational content to current changes in Avito's advertising tools. Modularity provides system flexibility, allowing individual parts of the platform to be updated without needing to rework the entire course. This solution demonstrates how software design principles can be successfully applied in the EdTech sector to create scalable and durable educational products.
