Jackery adopts EV battery technology to shrink portable power stations

Jackery has unveiled its new Explorer 1000 Plus v2 and Explorer 2000 Plus v2 portable power stations, utilizing a Cell-to-Body (CTB) architecture inspired by electric vehicle battery design. By integrating battery cells directly into the structural enclosure, the company has significantly reduced the physical footprint of these units without sacrificing capacity. The Explorer 2000 Plus v2 is 60% smaller and 33% lighter than its predecessor, while the 1000 Plus v2 sees a 44% reduction in size and a 26% drop in weight. Both models feature LFP cells rated for 6,000 cycles, fast charging capabilities, and expandable storage options. Jackery claims to be the first in the industry to apply this automotive-grade packaging technique to portable energy storage. The new series is set to launch in the UK and Europe on October 14, 2026, offering improved energy density and durability for mobile power users.
