Honor launches Magic 9 Pro Max with professional-grade cinema camera system

Honor has unveiled its latest flagship smartphone, the Magic 9 Pro Max, featuring a camera system developed in partnership with professional cinema camera manufacturer ARRI. The device boasts an impressive array of sensors, including a 200MP main camera, a 200MP telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide lens, alongside a 55MP selfie camera. The partnership integrates ARRI’s image science, offering 14 cinema-grade filter presets and advanced recording capabilities like 10-bit color depth and ARRI Wide Gamut 3. Beyond optics, the phone includes gimbal-level stabilization and a cinema-grade directional microphone. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor and an 8,800 mAh battery, the device aims to compete with top-tier flagships. While it launches in China for approximately $970, the device is not officially available in the U.S. market, requiring interested buyers to import it through third-party channels.
