China’s UBTech opens world-first factory that builds a humanoid robot every ten minutes

Chinese robotics firm UBTech has inaugurated a specialized smart factory in Liuzhou, Guangxi, capable of producing 10,000 humanoid robots annually. The facility, described as the world's first of its kind, operates with a high degree of automation, utilizing autonomous vehicles and collaborative robots to assemble the Walker S and Cruzr series. By integrating humanoid robots into the production line to handle material transport and assembly alongside human workers, UBTech aims to set a new standard for manufacturing efficiency. The company also launched a fully automated three-dimensional warehouse to optimize storage density. This development highlights China's rapidly expanding robotics sector, which saw a 28.5% year-on-year increase in production through mid-2026. UBTech attributes this progress to the country's robust supply chain and long-term investment in engineering talent, signaling a potential shift toward fully autonomous manufacturing environments globally.
