Deploying NVMe over RDMA on Alt Virtualization p11 and Huawei Dorado 5000V6: Lessons in Import Substitution

This article details the practical experience of implementing NVMe over Fabrics (NVMeoF) via the RoCEv2 protocol within an infrastructure based on the Russian virtualization platform Alt Virtualization p11 and the Huawei Dorado 5000V6 storage system. The author moves beyond a purely technical guide, focusing on the project implementation process, the challenges encountered, and the emotional aspects of working within the context of import substitution.
