Watson argued that labeling tech companies as a source of political 'rot' is counterproductive and risks damaging the country's technological future. He maintained that these roles provide well-paid, skilled employment that should be welcomed, while acknowledging that legitimate debates regarding technology, power, and accountability remain necessary in the public sphere.
