Samsung Launches Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and S12+ with Minor Upgrades

Samsung has officially unveiled its latest flagship tablets, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and the Galaxy Tab S12+. While both devices feature a new 3nm processor offering improved CPU, GPU, and NPU performance, as well as enhanced cooling and speaker systems, they remain largely similar to their predecessors. The S12 Ultra retains the 14.6-inch AMOLED display and 11,600mAh battery found in the S11 Ultra. Notably, Samsung has skipped a standard base model, effectively raising the entry price for the series. With starting prices of $1,199 for the S12+ and $1,399 for the Ultra, these tablets are positioned to compete directly with Apple's iPad Pro lineup. However, the minimal hardware changes and significant price hikes have sparked debate over whether Samsung should reconsider its annual release cycle for the Galaxy Tab series.
