A new wave of ultra-powerful mini PCs featuring AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 processor has been unveiled by manufacturers Acemagic, GMKtec, and Framework. These compact systems are designed to handle massive AI workloads locally, supporting large language models with up to 300 billion parameters. Key specifications across these models include up to 192GB of LPDDR5X unified memory, 16 Zen 5 cores, and integrated Radeon 8065S graphics. GMKtec’s EVO X5 Pro and Acemagic’s F9A emphasize high-performance cooling and connectivity, including USB4 and OCuLink, to support demanding tasks without relying on cloud infrastructure. Framework is also entering the space with a 4.5-litre desktop model. While official retail pricing has not been confirmed, the advanced hardware suggests these units will target the premium market, likely exceeding $2,000.
