Japanese manufacturer Mouse Computer has unveiled the X2, a compact and highly portable laptop weighing just 981g. Featuring a 12.2-inch display with a 1920x1200 resolution, the device is powered by AMD’s latest Ryzen AI processors, including options from the Krackan Point lineup. The X2 is designed for performance and flexibility, offering users an empty SODIMM slot for memory expansion up to 32GB. Connectivity is robust for its size, including Wi-Fi 7, USB Type-A, and HDMI ports. While the laptop offers impressive battery life—reaching up to 25 hours in idle mode—it is currently exclusive to the Japanese market. Prices start at approximately $1,545 for the Ryzen AI 5 model, with the higher-end Ryzen AI 7 version priced at $1,670. Available in three colors, the X2 represents a significant entry in the ultra-portable segment, though international buyers will need to utilize import services to acquire one.
