INKSHIFT: Cross out a table, keep the booking

INKSHIFT is a new tool designed to manage event planning changes without losing participant registrations. Built for the Sanity Challenge, the application allows organizers to upload or type event plans, such as games nights or workshops, and share them via an invite link. When a location change occurs—such as moving a session from one table to another—INKSHIFT enables organizers to review the proposed edits. The system ensures that existing bookings are preserved by decoupling sessions from their physical locations in the Sanity Content Lake. It validates capacity and availability before applying changes, ensuring that guests do not need to re-register. The project utilizes Next.js, Sanity Workflows, and AI-powered vision models to interpret plan updates. By maintaining stable session IDs, INKSHIFT provides a seamless experience for both organizers and participants, effectively handling real-time scheduling conflicts and ensuring data integrity throughout the modification process.
