cKEV Index: Beating the Midnight Deadline

CyberOK has launched the cKEV Index, a new catalog of priority vulnerabilities designed to assist cybersecurity professionals amidst an increasing volume of threats. While AI has significantly accelerated the discovery of vulnerabilities and the creation of exploits, the speed of remediation within organizations remains stagnant, leading to a backlog of critical risks. The Urgent Patch Score (UPS) methodology, which powers the index, allows for the prioritization of patches based on real-world data such as exploit availability, confirmed attacks, and other threat indicators. The public version of the catalog covers Urgent Patch and Emergency/IR stages, helping security teams focus on the most dangerous threats that require immediate attention. This tool aims to bridge the gap between vulnerability discovery and remediation, optimizing security team resources under time-sensitive conditions.
