CD sales are booming as physical media continues its resurgence

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has reported a significant surge in CD sales during the first half of 2026. According to the latest data, 17.5 million CDs were sold in the first six months of the year, representing a 45.7 percent increase compared to the 12 million units sold during the same period in 2025.
