Audi A6 e-tron Sets New World Record for Electric Vehicle Range

Polish rally driver Mikołaj Marczyk has set a new Guinness World Record for electric vehicle range, driving an Audi A6 e-tron for 831.4 miles on a single charge. The feat, which surpassed the previous record held by the Lucid Air Grand Touring, was achieved by navigating a diverse route through Poland, including mountainous terrain and urban traffic. Despite the vehicle's official WLTP range of 482 miles, Marczyk managed to nearly double that distance through efficient driving techniques, such as optimizing regenerative braking and maintaining steady speeds. The attempt also demonstrated the vehicle's performance in varied temperatures, ranging from 7 to 15 degrees Celsius. This record highlights the significant impact of driving behavior on EV efficiency, suggesting that range anxiety can be mitigated through careful road management and energy-conscious habits rather than relying solely on battery capacity.
