Anthropic launches Claude for Financial Advisors to automate administrative tasks

Anthropic has introduced 'Claude for Financial Advisors,' a new tool designed to streamline wealth management workflows by integrating AI directly into existing financial software stacks. The platform connects with major industry tools, including BlackRock, Charles Schwab, and Addepar, to assist advisors with research, meeting preparation, and administrative documentation. Anthropic reports that financial professionals currently spend five-sixths of their time on non-client tasks; this tool aims to reclaim that time by automating repetitive processes. The assistant can generate meeting summaries, pull relevant client data, and organize follow-up tasks, allowing advisors to focus on high-value services like estate and retirement planning. While the tool is available as a plugin, Anthropic recommends its Enterprise plans for financial firms requiring enhanced audit logging. To encourage adoption, the company is offering one-time usage credits to new enterprise customers who sign up before the end of September.
