Anthbot R7 Series Robot Mower Features Infrared Hedgehog Detection and Edge Trimming

At IFA 2026, Anthbot unveiled its new R7 Series robot lawn mowers, featuring an innovative 'EdgeEase' system. This technology utilizes a side-mounted robotic arm equipped with a string trimmer to ensure precise edge cutting without manual intervention. Beyond trimming, the R7 Series prioritizes safety and terrain adaptability. It includes an infrared sensor specifically designed to detect thermal signatures from small animals like hedgehogs, allowing the mower to avoid them during operation. The navigation suite combines LiDAR, RTK, and AI-backed cameras to handle complex, uneven garden landscapes. The series includes two models: the R730, which comes with the trimmer as standard for lawns up to 3,000 square meters, and the R720, designed for smaller yards up to 2,000 square meters with the trimmer available as an optional upgrade. These features aim to address common pain points in residential lawn maintenance through advanced automation.
